Companies repaid over 500 loans under the credit line programs of BDB

Almost 300 new loans have been granted for the first six months of the year

Companies repaid over 500 loans granted under the two programs for financing of small and medium-size enterprises and agricultural manufacturers of Bulgarian Development Bank AD (BDB) until the end of June, 2010. The total amount of the repaid loans is about BGN 77 mln.

Agricultural manufacturers repaid 396 loans for over BGN 45 mln until the end of June, 2010. Companies repaid 106 loans for BGN 31.8 mln granted under the Investment Loans Program for financing of SME. The partner-banks negotiated 291 new loans for BGN 51.6 mln under the two credit lines for the period January – June 2010.

The number of the operating loans under the two programs is 1090 until the end of June with a value of approximately BGN 430 mln. According to the financial data of the institution, by the end of the half-year the commercial banks granted to the business sector 99.8% or BGN 374.3 mln under the Working Capital Financing and Investment Loans Program performed by Bulgarian Development Bank.

The available resources of the commercial banks for granting new loans under the credit lines program of BDB are BGN 60.3 mln. Approximately BGN 30 mln of them are intended for working capital financing and investment loans for small and medium-size enterprises; the remaining BGN 30.3 mln are available for financing of agricultural manufacturers.

In 2009 BDB granted BGN 445 mln to the local commercial banks on a revolving basis for a period of 5 up to 10 years.
