The commercial banks have contracted 98% of BDB’s credit lines

The commercial banks in Bulgaria have contracted 98% of the credit lines which the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) granted them since the beginning of the year. The commercial banks have contracted 1 187 loans amounting to about BGN 408 million for the period March -October 2009. A total of 7 686 jobs has been created within the financed investment projects.

Bulgarian banks have approved 585 loans amounting to BGN 80 million provided by BDB for target financing of agricultural producers. The amount of the approved loans is more than BGN 78.5 million, and the number of jobs created by the financed projects is 5873.

The credit institutions have contracted 602 loans amounting to a total of BGN 330.2 million using the resources granted by the BDB for investment and working capital financing of small and medium-sized enterprises,. The jobs created as a result of the financing are 1813.

The maximum amount of the loans for the business is BGN 2 million, with a fixed interest rate of up to 8%. The maturity is up to 10 years, with a grace period of up to 3 years. The maximum amount of the working capital loans for agricultural producers is BGN 500 thousand. The interest rate, which is fixed for the whole period, is up to 7.5%, and the maturity is up to 18 months.

The financial institutions granting loans under the above mentioned BDB credit lines are: D Commerce Bank, Societe Generale Expressbank, Central Cooperative Bank, United Bulgarian Bank, Allianz Bank Bulgaria, First Investment Bank, Eurobank EFG Bulgaria, International Asset Bank, Corporate Commercial Bank, UniCredit Bulbank, MKB Unionbank, Investbank, Tokuda Bank, DSK Bank, ProCredit Bank, CIBank and Piraeus Bank.
