Bulgarian development bank is hosting the forum

20 top financiers from European development banks will discuss the current economic situation in EU, the Euro’s role and its reflection on the real economy in Europe. The discussion will take place during the meeting of Chief Economists of the institutions, participating in the European Association of Public Banks (EAPB). Host of the forum, taking place on 3-4 June 2010 at the Riviera complex, is the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB).

The annual meeting will be attended by representatives of different public banks of Germany, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Italy, Hungary, Latvia, Macedonia etc. Special guests of te event are Mr. Rumen Simeonov – Deputy Governor of the Bulgarian National Bank and Mr. Sven Lengedik – European Comission expert on the fiscal policy in the Eurozone.

BDB is a member of EAPB since May 2005. The association was established in 2000 in order to represent the interests of state-owned banks and development banks at European level. Members of EAPB are about 100 financial institutions from 16 Countries, engaged in the sector of public-private investments. As of the end of 2009, the market share of EAPB members is about 15%, and their assets – more than EUR 3.5 billion.
