The renowned British finance magazine - Finance Central Europe qualified Encouragement Bank as “The best small bank in Bulgaria” in 2008. The Bank will be included in the traditional annual edition as a part of the best 100 banks in Southeastern Europe for 2008. („FCES Top South East Europe Bank Rankings 2008„).
In the magazine classification, the best 100 financial institutions in the region are ranked by their assets, capital, gross profit, return on assets, return on capital. The classification is based on 2007 annual financial reports, verified from international auditors.
In the research made by Finance Central Europe, Encouragement Bank takes sixth place in the Bulgarian Banking System according to the indicator return on assets. The magazine has also prepared a ranking of the top banks in each country in the region, including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey.
