Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) presented its activities and tasks to the Bulgarian-Nordic Chamber of Commerce (BNCC). During the meeting, held in Grand Hotel Sofia the financial institution introduced to the members of the Chamber the functions of its subsidiaries – the National Guarantee Fund and the Jobs Micro Financing Institution.
At the event have been participated representatives of the Norway Embassy, Sweden Honorary Consulate General, Swedish Trade Council, the Bulgarian Economic Forum, trade companies and others.
The credit lines, granted by Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) to Bulgarian Development Bank, provoked a serious interest during the meeting. The NIB has provided to BDB two credit lines – one of EUR 10 million in 2004 and the second of EUR 20 million in 2010. The aim of these funds is to refinance the Scandinavian and/or ecologic projects in Bulgaria.
In the same time BDB presents other forms of financing which offer to the Scandinavian companies that have an interest in realizing projects in Bulgaria. In the event possibilities for further cooperation have been discussed.
BDB is a member of the Bulgarian - Nordic Chamber of Commerce since 2007.
